About our VDI Static (DIN69880) High Accuracy Hydraulic Expansion Chucks:
We are proud to supply the Range of VDI Static (DIN69880) Hydraulic expansion chucks. These are supplied to G2.5 @ 25,000rpm & <0.005mm accuracy at competitive prices.

Tests have shown, when using carbide tools our high accuracy hydraulic expansion chucks can increase tool life by up to 150%.

These holders are designed to mounting plain straight shank tools (without flatted shanks). The chuck accepts it's main diameter in tool shank size (D in the table above) OR smaller diameters  (using reduction sleeves/collets with the same outside diameter (D)). When fitted with the corresponding cutting tool, turning a hex key in the chuck exerts incredible clamping force through hydraulic pressure on the tool, or can release it. This means that the grip is far greater than that of an ER collet, leaving less chance of the tool slipping and is second only to that of Shrink Fit holders (without the cost of an expensive heat inductor unit).

The holders are also feature a coolant connector on the flange face allowing coolant to be passed through the holder directly to the job being machined.

NOTE!!!: Hydraulic Expansion Chucks must not be used with Flatted shank tools.
Cutting tools must be pushed all the way back into the holder or reduction sleeve/collet.
&
Expansion chuck should NEVER be tightened whlist empty
Failure to follow these warnings will cause unequal pressure will damage the chuck or collet.
