The Widia 16mm M6800S Milling Cutter has proved to be a very cost effective cutter to have in my collection. It was purchased to cut mainly steel and stainless steel. The inserts i purchased with this were TN6425 and TN6430. Previously i was cutting with hss 8%CO TiAlN and i thought these were good. However with the widia cutter and carbide inserts i was able to increase spindle speed by 200% and feedrate by 400%. I have used it for face milling, pocketing and slotting. It is also used as both a roughing and finishing cutter. All these factors equal less cutters needed and less maching time. It is a good quality well engineered cutter, that i would recommend for high speeds and feeds.
